• Project Manager (paid)
• assisting Interns (expenses covered)

We are seeking a Project Manager, starting presently, in advance of our 5th edition, parallel to the Dak’Art Biennale in May. We also welcome interns in an assisting role at any time.

Our festival this year will be modest compared to previous editions, as we are developing a completely new format which will debut in 2017.

Responsibilities of the position primarily include creation of festival budget, sponsorship package, and subsequent communications & meetings with established and prospective partners in the cultural, diplomatic, and corporate sectors in order to procure funding to meet the budget. As the festival dates approach, the work becomes more « in-the-field » of the Dakar creative economy of artists and cultural protagonists. This is done in collaboration with Artistic Director, Dance Director, and assisting interns. Our payment is included in the budget which is created. We literally go out and get it. (However given the success of last year’s edition, those partners are keen to continue the collaboration.)

Please be fluent with spoken & written French & English (Wolof is a plus), inspired & open-hearted toward all facets of Dakar creative culture, and familiar with the previous edition’s accomplishments. We are a young initiative, and look for an ambitious individual at ease in the independent cultural sector, to work *with* us rather than *for* us.

The theme of DDI2016 is “Dieuredieuf serigne Doudou!”
